SHIPPING COSTS
: Inside the continental $ 4.95 going up as insurance dictates
After $ 125. it graduates simply for insurance. which means, I could be subsidizing the item's shipping cost. since I am not charging extra for the actual packaging, weight etc.
Starting at $ 500, I am subsidizing the shipping and insurance costs.
With a $ 1000 order or more, I am paying more than 50 %,
so on the large orders, even if the cost of the isnurance & shipping seems high, I'm paying even more than you. It is our Thank you.. Sending insured items these days is getting expensive , but what is the alternative ?
PO boxes are acceptable except for fed ex & ups, so when you can, try to have a physical address ,
ALASKA, HAWAII, & INTERNATIONAL orders are evaluated individually and we willcontact you with estimated insurance first..

| SPECIAL ORDERS:
Sometimes you might want a change of a few inches in a design, and sometimes we can do it, other designs are simply not possible. Many times we can do it without a charge,( or a charge that is lower than it should be ) it might cause a little delay.
If you need more beads etc..we will discuss it with you for a price.

MATERIALS USED.
when the word GOLD is used in our wrap descriptions, it generally refers to 14 k.g. tubing (14kgf) that is filled for durability & will wear like gold, requiring no maintenance. When that material is not available, we use materials expressely made for Katya's and the finishes are guaranteed by us. (SEE guarantee box) .SILVER is either sterling as in the wraps, ..(requires a jewelry cloth from time to time for cleaning). or some chains a pewter finish..... GREAT NEWS since you can't dip amber in jewelry cleaner.
MATERIALS USED IN MAGIC BROOCH
we use so many different materials for this item..but the group that is made form the Mother of Pearl and abalone?
this group is made from Copper with an IMR finish that will wear indefinitely.. no tarnising.
then, many of them are sterling wrapped as well..and we use argentium sterling..which is expensive and almost tarnishproof
Then, the magnets used are neodynium, the strongest in the world.
MAINTENANCE? Usually None !
Of course, some sterling items can tarnish...but NEVER should you dip your jewelry in silver cleaner or chemicals. Use a silver cloth.
We use 14 k.g.f whenever possible and when it isn't available, we have finishes made for us that we have tested for years. AMBER IS A FOSSIL, should be treated like Pearls. Keep in little bag away from other jewelry which can scratch.
Earwires: On some silver ones, we use surgical steel (hpoallergenic) and others we use sterling. If you have a preference, please state it.
gold ones, are Hamilton Gold plated.. and generally earrings $ 20 and up are done with 14kgf.. like a rolled gold tube. ( much more expensive than sterling)
If you ABSOLUTELY NEED solid 14 k.g. earwires, we will provide them for you, we pay $ 15 wholesale and so you need to figure that
into your bill extra

REPAIRS:
if you break an item of OUR jewelry, Good News ! We can often fix it. Maybe there will be a charge, but we are fair and of course, there is shipping.Claims of damages must be made immediately, after 30 days, we will assume it was not a manufacturing defect.
We do not currently knot, and can't repair your other jewelry, sorry, no time !
REPAIR policy:
Contact us first to see which address to send your jewelry to.. and when, and what method to use. Otherwise... It might get returned to you,

or it item was a gift and the return is delayed.., we'll discuss that.. after all, we are probably friends !

Items purchased online without having actually seen them, are refundable. You need to contact us immediately.
RETURNS
*Shipping Costs are not refundable, unless an item is defective , in which case we will reimburse you.
*As for returns, you will need to follow our instructions about how, when & where to send it to.
*If an item is defective, and you still want it.. if we can not provide you with a perfect one, then we will give you a refund.
*in the rare case that you have changed your mind about a length of something after you have received it,, you must pay all shipping for resending. talk to us, maybe we can suggest cheapest ideas for sending..
if it is a special order, we'll have to discuss the money part as reworking costs might be involved.. |

To be perfectly honest, we, ourselves, are startled at the longevity of our designs and the reliability of our finishes.
Since 1993 , we can probably count the number of
necklaces that have come back to us for some form of tarnishing! However, since the jewelry is considered so affordable, occasionally I WILL will get some reliability questions.
Therefore, we provide you with the below guarantee.
The "gold & silver* finishes on our necklaces have a limited lifetime warranty THIS MEANS, that if you are wearing it in a normal way and not breaking the rules.. and the finish deteriorates, we will replace it for you free. ( excluding mailing costs)
We always tell our customers to put perfume on first...hairspray too, and not to get any chemicals on the jewelry, obviously not liquid jewelry cleaner..and pools and bath water has lots of chlorine. ... remember Salt air is not good either.

If you have abused these rules,
generally, we can rebuild the necklace for a nominal charge as a courtesy generally $ 10. if all parts are provided .Of course, there is THE shipping charge too.
*Sterling parts, naturally , will tarnish and need to be cleaned with jewelry cloths. .

If the jewelry is dipped in chemicals, I'll know ! the warranty is voided, but we'll still help you out.
Some people like one of my relatives, has that kind of acidic body chemistry that goes through all materials except solid gold. Bummer ! If that's you, & you've just gotten our jewelry, be in touch immediately and I'll do my best for you.
